Release OCPI version 2.113 April 2016
After a few months of hard work with a group of international companies, OCPI version 2.1 has been released! OCPI is an independent international protocol to support: 1. Bilateral roaming and roaming via a central system 2. The use of differentiated rates per charge station, and if desired also per user 3. The supply of correct data on charge points (location, availability, rates, type of energy, available facilities near the station, etc.) and 4. Remote and ad hoc use of the charge station
The main improvements are:
- The support of remote commands
- The possibility to add facility information
- Real-time checking of tokens
- The ability to give information about the type of energy.
OCPI 2.1 is now available. In addition, some small changes have been made to improve usage and connection with central systems. Version 2.1 was developed with input from a group of small and large international charge point operators, service providers and major roaming hubs. The process has been facilitated by NKL. OCPI 2.1 can now be downloaded at OCPI 2.1
As a next step, a follow-up project is being defined to make an open source test version of OCPI, which can be used for both testing and implementation. New functionalities will also be added for charge profiles and improved connection to central systems. As it is an open independent protocol, all input and participation is welcome.
