In this update, we share information about OCPI, about the status of OCPI implementation, experiences, bug fixes and OCPI management. Feel free to forward the update to others! Update OCPI november 2016
Why this update?
OCPI is the key to transparency and openness in the field of charging electric vehicles. In this fifth update, we share information about the associated challenges and solutions. We explain what OCPI can mean for companies, and most importantly what it can do for the EV driver.
Status of OCPI implementations
OCPI has now been implemented by a large number of parties. In the Netherlands, all CPOs and MSPs have begun to implement OCPI version 2.1. The goal is to ensure that all Dutch parties are reachable via OCPI by April 1, 2017.
Bug fixes for OCPI version 2.1
OCPI is in constant development, and OCPI version 2.1 is now requiring a few small improvements. This is primarily about issues such as field lengths, etc. To make these fixes, a bug fix will follow shortly in the form of OCPI version 2.1.1. This new version is compatible with the current OCPI version 2.1.
Currently, OCPI is managed by the Netherlands Knowledge Platform for Charging Infrastructure - NKL. For the long term, we aim to set up a formal management organization that will support daily maintenance issues: 1. User support; 2. Support implementations through affiliated parties; 3. Collect and implement improvements; 4. Communication about OCPI to newly interested parties.
