European joint venture for international EV roaming
evRoaming4EU wants to ensure EV drivers can travel easily throughout Europe without any worries about where they are going to charge their vehicles – or about cost clarity. NKL is the coordinator of this collaboration between parties from Denmark, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
A key activity of this project is conducting pilot tests with a focus on overcoming technical, legal and financial obstacles to EV roaming. Numerous events are held at local and European level to draw the attention of a broad range of stakeholders to the pilots and the project.
evRoaming4EU uses the independent OCPI protocol to achieve the project goals – OCPI is the international standard for harmonizing EV roaming, and is used by a large number of sector parties.
